In its resolution S-30/1, the Human Rights Council decided to establish an ongoing independent, international commission of inquiry to investigate in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel all alleged violations of international humanitarian law and all alleged violations and abuses of international human rights law leading up to and since 13 April 2021 and all underlying root causes of recurrent tensions, instability and protraction of conflict, including systematic discrimination and repression based on national, ethnic, racial or religious identity. In the same resolution, the Council requested the Commission of Inquiry to report on its main activities on an annual basis.

The Council will consider the report of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry during an interactive dialogue.

Item 10: ID on oral presentation of HC on Ukraine and interim report of SG on human rights in Crimea

In its resolution 59/22, the Human Rights Council requested the High Commissioner to continue to present an oral update on the findings of each of the reports of OHCHR on the situation of human rights in Ukraine to the Council at each of its sessions, until its sixty-fifth session, to be followed by an interactive dialogue. The Council will hear the oral update of the High Commissioner.

In its resolution 80/223, on the situation of human rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit for consideration an interim report to the Human Rights Council at its sixty-second session on the progress made in the implementation of all provisions of the resolution, including options and recommendations to improve its implementation, to be followed by an interactive dialogue, in accordance with Council resolution 59/22. The Council will consider the report of the Secretary-General.

In its resolution 58/31, the Human Rights Council requested OHCHR, in cooperation and collaboration with the Government of South Sudan and relevant mechanisms of the African Union, to enhance the technical assistance provided to the Government of South Sudan and to present a comprehensive report to the Council at its sixty-second session, to be followed by an interactive dialogue. The Council will consider the report of OHCHR.
