In its resolution 61/35, the Human Rights Council decided to renew the mandate of Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, for a period of three years, and requested the Special Rapporteur to submit an annual report to the Council on all activities relating to the mandate. The Council will consider the reports of the mandate holder, Ashwini K.P., during an interactive dialogue.

In its resolution 80/192, (Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance) the General Assembly requested the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance to prepare, for submission to the Human Rights Council at its sixty-second session, a report on the implementation of the resolution. The Council will consider the report of the mandate holder, Ashwini K.P.
