In its resolution 57/36, the Human Rights Council requested the High Commissioner to submit to the Council at its sixty-second session a comprehensive report on the situation of human rights in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, containing a detailed assessment of the implementation of the recommendations made in previous reports to the Council, to be followed by an interactive dialogue. The Council will consider the report of the High Commissioner during an interactive dialogue.




For all interactive dialogues, the online inscription for the lists of speakers for States opens on Tuesday, 9 June at 2 p.m. and will close 2 hours before the meeting in which the respective debate is scheduled to start.

In its resolution S-37/1, the Human Rights Council decided to establish an independent commission of inquiry on the situation of human rights in North Kivu and South Kivu Provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and requested the independent commission of inquiry to present an oral update on its activities at the sixty-first session of the Council, to be followed by an enhanced interactive dialogue. In its resolution 60/22, the Council decided to hold the interactive dialogue on the oral update of the independent commission of inquiry at its sixty-second session. The Council will hear the oral update by the independent commission of inquiry during an enhanced interactive dialogue.

In its resolution 60/15, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Burundi, for a further period of one year, and requested the Special Rapporteur to present to the Council, at its sixty-second session, an oral update on the situation of human rights in Burundi. The Council will hear the oral update of the mandate holder, Fortuné Gaetan Zongo, during an interactive dialogue.

In its resolution 58/19, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Belarus, for a further period of one year, effective from the end of its fifty-ninth session, and requested the Special Rapporteur to continue to monitor developments and to make recommendations and to submit a report on the situation of human rights in Belarus to the Council at its sixty‑second session. The Council will consider the report of the mandate holder, Nils Muižnieks, during an interactive dialogue.
