In its resolution 55/8, the Human Rights Council requested OHCHR to present an oral report to the Council on the implementation of the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy across its programmes and operations at its sixty-second session, with international sign interpretation and captioning. The Council will hear the oral report of the Office.

In its resolution 59/14, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of the Working Group on discrimination against women and girls, for a period of three years, and requested the Working Group to mainstream, across all its work, age and disability perspectives in the fulfilment of its mandate and to examine the specific forms of discrimination that girls faced. The Council will consider the reports of the Working Group, during an interactive dialogue.
