In its resolution 59/20, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences, as set out by the Council in its resolution 50/7, as set out in its resolution 50/7, for a period of three years. The Council will consider the reports of the mandate holder, Reem Alsalem, during an interactive dialogue.
