The case study The Royal Golden Cocoon of Java: Cricula trifenestrata forms part of the inputs informing the report of the UN Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Alexandra Xanthaki, to the United Nations Human Rights Council at its 61st session (#HRC61).

The report highlights links between cultural rights and nature conservation, alongside the Council’s consideration of embedding human rights within the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
